I Need A New Mattress!

For the second time now our roof has leaked right on my side of the bed and soaked everything. Last time it happened hubby coated the roof with Mobilastic roof coating in cool white finish. But it appears that it doesn't last long. One year in fact. So now we have to put something else on the roof to fix the problem.

And now I need a new mattress. The blankets I wasn't worried about because I can wash and dry them like new, but the mattress I'm afraid there is no way to thoroughly dry it and sleeping with mold is one thing I don't need. Aloha Friday

It seems every week goes by faster and faster as I get older. Already it's time to once again Join Kailani over at An Island Life for Aloha Friday where in Hawaii they take things easy on Fridays. So I'll ask just one simple question that doesn't require a lengthy response.

Today my roof leaked again in this old trailer we are in until the Stone House is done. I am just sick of it because it leaked all over my side of the bed(again) Blankets are soaked, Floor is soaked. Lots to clean up and we can't repair it until the weather is nicer. Aaahhh!

My question for you today is: Is there one thing about your home that bugs you-needs fixed? Not enough outlets, cracking plaster, anything really.

CBS The Back-up Plan - opens April 23 in Theaters!

Here is a romantic comedy everyone will love! Mom's, Dad's, singles. Starring Jennifer Lopez (Zoe) hilarious as ever and Alex O'Loughlin (Stan) as the hunk love interest. Not all of us starts dating, falls in love, gets married, and then has a baby. Sometimes things happen out of order; sometimes they happen in reverse... and that's what happens here in The Back-up Plan. I laughed out loud just watching the trailer! Of course I must say I have been a big fan of Jennifer Lopez for some time.
Directed by Alan Poul (“Swingtown” and “Six Feet Under”); Produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch (The Pursuit of Happyness, Knowing) are producing through their Escape Artists; Kate Angelo (“Will & Grace,” “What About Brian”) wrote the screenplay. Jennifer Lopez (Monster-In-Law, Shall We Dance) and Alex O’Loughlin (August Rush, “Three Rivers”) star in The Back-up Plan for CBS Films, have clicked wonderfully together to make his film a must see comedy. Who knew sharing a bed with a pregnancy pillow on date night could be so funny?! Or, where “date night” consists of being the “focal point” at a near-stranger’s water birth which does for kiddie pools what “Jaws” did for swimming in the ocean. Has your child ever brought you poopoo while playing at the local playground? Of course there are cute dogs in the mix as well, so like I said earlier there is something for everyone to love in The Back-up Plan. This is one I'll definitely be seeing. I can always use a good laugh. It's what makes life enjoyable.



For a fun night out with the girls, or a date night with that special someone plan on seeing The Back-up Plan which opens in theaters April 23, 2010.

The Stone House

Well it seems we still have a leak somewhere in the pipes because our water bill is up higher that it should be. So we will be spending the next day or so trying to hunt down the leak. We may have to have someone come out to find it for us. Wintertime is always the time that pipes fail.

We'll also be sitting down and ordering some fruit trees and bushes for The Stone House and for my daughters house. I'll let you know what we decide on.

We have all had a slight bug going around the family here this last week. But it wasn't anything to worry about. Just a bit of upset stomach and feeling poorly. We all seem to be getting over it pretty quickly.

Grandson Zachery got some sad new today. One of his former classmates died suddenly of a brain aneurysum at a local pool. It was so shocking. We know the family well and she had been to our house. It is awful when there is no explanation for things like this, and no way to know it's coming.

Grand-daughter Kirsten made the Jr. High Honor Choir and we were all very happy for her achievement.

My daughter who is expecting a baby in April has had some worry about diabetes but the doctor now has her on a strict diet and it seems to be working. Counting carbs and avoiding sugars is not an easy task. Along with medication it is helping her so much. The baby seems to be fine though so we are all happy about that. She gave me a Lindt chocolate bar that she had stashed away so that she wouldn't be tempted. She is much stronger than I would be.
