Cystex - Finally OTC Help For Women With UTI's! Giveaway!

Many of us women, myself included are prone to UTI's. I get Urinary Tract Infections regularly because I don't drink enough water and trying to switch from my 24-7 coffee habit to drinking water is a bit difficult but it's a step I must take. Especially now that I am older and my skin is thirsting for the moisture that water provides. Even at a young age I was prone to getting UTI's often and the suffering was often unbearable.

But today there is help for women who suffer urinary tract infections. Cystex is the over the counter medication that really helps relieve the pain caused by UTI infections and can keep the infection in check until you can get in to see your physician. Though I won't take the place of antibiotic treatment from your doctor, it will help hold off the growth of the infection so it's best to get some at the first sign of an UTI. If you are anything like me, I could always tell when I was getting a urinary tract infection so this would have been great for me.
There are a lot of myths surrounding UTI's but you can get all the facts at http://www.cystex.com/Pages/know_your_bladder_better. Place your vote and then watch the video. You might be surprised.
Cystex has generously offered to give one of my readers a box of 40 tablets($9.25 value) to have for their own. Have Gas? Win Gas!
Everyone gets gas. Yes, even you at some time or another either from the foods you have eaten or from flying or even stress. Believe it or not, it is calculated that each of us passes gas about 14 times per day. And we blame the cows for the ozone problem?! Just teasing. I know for many of us it can be a serious and embarrassing problem in our daily lives. What causes us to get gas? Take a peek at the clip below.
But now there is a Natural Homeopathic Remedy that can relieve those gassy and bloated moments. CharcoCaps Antigas Formula can give you fast relief of gas, bloating, pressure, and discomfort using activated charcoal in a gentle gelcap formula. Just take 2 capsules with a glass of water at meal time or at the first sign of discomfort. The physician recommended foil packed gelcaps are easy to carry in your purse or luggage when traveling so you have them handy. How does the activated charcoal work? Here's another clip to explain it:
The older you get the more gassy you get and at my age it's nice to know that I have something that can help prevent embarrassing situations. I received a box of CharcoCaps to try and they came in handy the night we ate chili for dinner. Nothing more gas causing than a good bowl of chili. A meal I love. I ate a bit more than I normally do and right away started feeling bloated. I took two capsules as directed and it wasn't very long before the bloat went away.

Not only is CharcoCaps helping to relive you of gas, they are also giving away gas! Yes that's right. You can enter for a CharcoCaps Gas Card Giveaway! Right now "With gas prices still on the rise, CharcoCaps is offering a monthly $100 pre-paid gasoline card (while supplies last)." All you have to do is follow this link and take the gas etiquette quiz: http://www.charcocaps.com/gas-etiquette-quiz/. Each month winners are contacted so that a card can be purchased in their name for their local gas station. How cool is that! It's a gas for gas exchange, lol! Maybe they can put CharcoCaps in Cows food too... somebody write your congressman with the idea! Well I am off to take the quiz, I could use that gas card so I want in on the drawing!

Three Tips For Getting Dinner Ready In A Flash!

With Mom's busy schedule these days it isn't always easy to get dinner on the table in a timely fashion and we end up being rushed or rush out for take out. Here are three easy tips that we use in our house for fast nutritious meals in a hurry.
Saving left overs into individual meals: Anytime there are left overs from a big dinner we pack them up into individual meals so on the days when everyone is rushing around we can each pick our own meal and pop it in the microwave. It takes just a couple minutes to heat up and is just as tasty as the first time we enjoyed it. Beef Stew, spaghetti with corn on the side, Lasagna, even chili will freeze nicely for a quick meal time.
Rushing out for take out is not an option in our house because we are trying to eat healthy meals at each meal time and let's face it, take out is full of fats and carbohydrates that we just don't need. One fast meal for us is salad. If salad is going to be the meal then we will make it a cesar salad with ham slices, eggs, tomatos, bacon bits, cheese and a variety of dressing. We may also serve a delicious bread to go with the salad. It is filling and full of nutrition.
One day a week we may splurge with pizza, it's fast and delicious, and we get our weekly fat intake. Pizza can have all the necessary food groups if you include the grains from the crust, vegetables in the way of pizza sauce, tomatos, olives; dairy in the form of cheese and meats in the form of pepperoni, sausage, etc.. One every week or two we manage to allow ourselves pizza and we all love it.
I'm certain you have other ways to make quick meals in a hurry on those busy days, and I could take the time to list a couple more that we use in our house. The point is there is no reason to skip healthy meals even on those busy busy days. Why am I telling you all this?
Because Twitter Moms and Samsung have teamed up to ask the question: "With Our Busy Schedules, What Are Your 3 Valid Tips for Getting Dinner Ready in a Flash?” One lucky blogger with a qualifying entry will win a free Samsung Refrigerator (RFG297AARS) http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/appliances/refrigerators/frenchd
How fabulous is that?! This would not only be a big time saver for my family with all the roomy space it will help us in storing all the great grocery items for fast nutritious meals for this busy family! You can check out the contest here.

Sad Day Today At Our House
Two of our grandchildren today found out that their other grandpa is in the hospital after having a triple bypass and will probably not live long. He is in a coma with no signs of brain activity. The grandkids are very upset as are we all. He was a fine man, retired military, and respected by all. We will all miss him very much. They are rushing to be at his bedside to say goodby along with other family members out of state.
The entire family is distraught over this because the surgery was sudden in itself. No one had any idea anything was physically wrong. One minute he was having a yearly check up and the next minute he was having triple bypass. He was only in his 50's. It just reminds us how short our life span can be, so take time with your loved ones to show them and tell them that you care each and every day. Time together is precious and short so enjoy each and every moment.

Permission Slips by Sherri Shepherd

It's no secret that I am an avid reader. I probably read 3-4 books a week, not always, sometimes it's less than that, but when I saw a posting on The Product Review Place about Sherri Shepherd's new book Permission Slips I wanted to grab it. Sherri Shepherd co host of the View on ABC has written a synopsis of her life thus far with helpful tips for other women by writing yourself permission slips to overcome emotional upheavals that would otherwise occur.
Before Sherri Shepherd stepped on to the View I was never a fan of the show. Let's face it as a conservative Christian that show would just infuriate me most of the time so I one day just stopped watching. I tend to avoid controversy if it upsets me too much. After reading Sherri's book I may drop in from time to time again just to see how things go.
I must say I did enjoy reading Permission Slips very much. The first thing I thought is that this is a woman after my own heart. Though we have different backgrounds and different experiences we have come to much of the same conclusions. I don't however actually write our permission slips for myself although I mentally give myself permission to falter just as Sherri does. Sherri has great insight and I highly recommend reading this to every woman on the planet!

Do You Worry About Your Baby's Vision?

Vision disorders are the fourth most common disability among children in the United States according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Still many problems can take years to detect making treatment more difficult as time passes. Some vision problems can become debilitating for a child, that why it is so important to test your child's vision as soon as possible. A child can be tested as early as 6 months old.
With that goal in mind Diopsys Inc. developer and marketer of Enfant Pediatric VEP Vision Testing System has created an online vision assessment quiz at www.freevisionquiz.com. Reviewed by physicians, the informational quiz takes only minutes to complete comprised of multiple choice questions that can red flag possible vision problems for children of many ages. Does your child have problems making steady eye contact? Or, do they involuntarily cover one eye to see something better? Though the test does not take the place of a professional vision examination, it can help detect early problems. For more information on the Enfant or to find a pediatrician offering the test near you, visit www.enfantvision.com.
The Enfant Pediatric VEP Vision Testing System:
Utilizes clinically proven, FDA-approved technology
Delivers a 97% sensitivity in detecting visual deficits where and when they exist
Provides immediate, on-site test results in simple, pass/fail format
Requires no dilation or sedation for maximum patient safety
Features child-friendly animated characters and graphics accompanied by music
Can be completed in five to seven minutes, contributing to a more than 90% test completion rate
Is currently utilized by more than 250 pediatric practices, and is easily incorporated into a child’s regular well care visit
Be sure to ask your pediatric doctor at your child's next visit. Visit the site like I did. It is very easy to maneuver around to find the information you are looking for and has tons of information for concerned parents regarding their child's vision.

Aloha Friday

Every Friday I like to join Kailani over at An Island Life where on Fridays in the islands they take things ease and just ask one simple question. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. So today my question for you is:
How often does something go wrong with your computer, and do you have someone close who works on yours?

It Always Something With Our Computers!

I need to find a live in computer guru! Truly I do. There is always something going on with one or the other of our two desktops. Why can't they just make a computer that you just plug and play and it lasts forever? I don't understand it.
I ordered a new hard drive for hubby's computer because his old one was just full up and he needed more memory. He had an old one with only 30g and the one thing he does on the computer is play a game that took up all 30g of space so he needed another. So it came in the mail and we put it in, but do you think we can get it to turn on? No!
There has to be something else we need to do but I can't figure it out.
Sure these things are a great convenience being able to use them to communicate with the world in an instant, but then sometimes they are just a pain in the butt!

Do You EOS?

I just had to tell you I got my free sample of EOS lip Sweet Mint lip balm in the mail today and I totally love it! First of all the Sweet Mint flavor lip balm is great tasting and makes my lips feel ultra soft and smooth. I'll be using this all winter long to keep my lips moist. The EOS-"evolution of smooth" lip balm also comes in Summer Fruit and Honeysuckle Honeydew flavors.

What I find amazing is the delivery system and packaging. The lip balm itself is in the form of a solid ball that you just roll over your lips and is packaged in this cute little rubberized worry ball that feels so neat in your hands. And I know it will never get lost in my purse or get mistaken for perfume or lipstick or a pen even in the dark I will know when I have it. No it doesn't squeeze like a worry ball but it feels just as neat and has a flat bottom so it can stand upright on a shelf if you prefer so you can place it right in the medicine cabinet for handy use. It's cute enough to keep on your desktop at work!

Of course if you prefer a stick application like a lipstick they have that too in flavors like Vanilla Bean, Sweet Mint, and Pomegranate Raspberry. Yummy! 95% Organic and 100% natural, you are going to love these. Just the perfect stocking stuffers this Christmas! Available at Walgreens and Rite Aid and other drug and grocery stores near you. Watch for them!
