Inventors Challenge

I get my best ideas for writing to my blog just as I am laying down to sleep. I'll lay there for 20 minutes with whole sentences going through my mind as if I am sitting at my computer typing them. But I am not going to get up and jot them down because if I did that I would never get any rest. I suppose I could keep a recorder next to my bed, but then I would be keeping hubby awake talking so that's not really a possibility. I don't dream about my ideas, I dream about playing World of Warcraft, but I really wish there was a way to capture all the ideas before they are lost. Come on all you inventors, think of something that can capture thoughts and print them to the computer. I know someone has to be working on this somewhere.

Colorado Renaissance Festival
One of the most fabulous experiences for any family vacation is the Colorado Renaissance Festival held every summer in Larkspur which is situated right off the interstate between Colorado Springs and Denver. If you ever get a chance to take your family to this great event, Do IT! Hubby and I have gone several times and love it.
This past weekend my daughter and her family went to the Renaissance Festival while I stayed home with the littlest grand-daughter Amelie. The family tries to attend every summer and they really go all out with costumes which is so much fun. You aren't required to wear a costume, but if you would like to and don't have one they are available to rent at the Festival. I would say for attendees, it's about half and half, half of them wear costumes and half do not. But as a family we love the camaraderie and total experience of wearing a costume and participating in the fun.
I just wanted to show you pictures of what the family wore this year to the festival. Last year Zachery wore the chain mail shirt and shield and sword. This year he went as a Barbarian with shield and new spear that hubby helped him build.
Grand-daughter Kirsten went as a punk fairy and was a hit with the crowd at the festival. A friend went with them and dressed as a punk fairy too and both were excited when they were called on stage to dance at the festival. What fun!
Daughter Janeen dressed as a Pirate Wench and nearly frightened some poor soul who came to sit down to eat next to them. She growled her Pirate growl and chased the poor lad off because he was dressed as a ninja. You know Pirates vs Ninjas. LOL She really gets into character at the festival. I'm sure it was the sword that scared him off.
The Renaissance Festival is so much fun! A few things you might see are the Royal Parade, fire eaters, jesters, serving wenches, blacksmithing, lots of turkey legs to eat, jugglers, jousting, and so much more. Really you must go if you get the chance.
Grand-daughter Moyra spent the day with her other Grandma(Mam)and attended a concert; while Amelie and I had a lot of fun watching Elmo videos and learning colors and shapes. Of course we had tons of snacks and a great lunch before her nap time. The 4th of July was a great time had by all in our family. Hope yours was as fabulous.

Ageless Anti Aging Perfume Giveaway #2

Yes, a second bottle of Ageless Anti Aging Perfume to giveaway to one of my readers! I was thrilled when I received another bottle to give away and now you have a second chance to win your own 3.4 oz. bottle of this fantastic perfume!
I was absolutely thrilled when I received Ageless by Harvey Prince in the mail to do a review on. Absolutely thrilled I tell you! Thank you Megan! I had heard about this fabulous new perfume designed to make you appear to be younger and I just had to try it! It's become the fad all over Europe and now it's popularity is growing in the United States as well. Women are raving over the results of wearing this perfume!
Have you ever asked a man to guess your age? Clinical trials of Ageless has shown that men around women wearing this fabulous perfume guess their age to be about 8 years younger than their actual age! What woman doesn't want to appear younger! Of course it won't remove wrinkles or take the place of collagen or a face lift if you desire to go that route. But maybe now you won't have to take those ultimate measures when you can wear a perfume that makes you appear younger just by it's scent. If other people think you are younger, you may believe you are younger and you just may start to live a younger healthier life all because of the scent you wear. How exciting would that be?!
The concept is amazing. If rose can make you think of grandmothers; or lavender is relaxing; or green apple relieves migraines; why can't there be a scent to make you seem younger? This patent pending perfume seems to do just that. The scent is a light airy mixture of pink grapefruit, mango, anti-oxidant rich pomegranate, jasmine and musk. I loved the light scent right from the start. Ageless scent is not overpowering like many celebrity designer fragrances either which is something I really appreciated about it, nor is it filled with harmful irritating chemicals. I have had many perfumes that I couldn't wear because they irritated my skin, but not with Ageless. I was able to wear it all day and into the evening with no irritations whatsoever. I loved that!
My daughter loved the scent too and I think she wants her own bottle. I can't blame her. It's amazing.
Based on natural bio-chemical aroma therapy Ageless actually makes you smell younger! Harvey Prince has hit a home run with Ageless! At 120.00 for a 3.04 oz. bottle it will last a long time so it's money well spent. Ageless is available at www.agelessfantasy and you'll find it among quality perfumes at specialty stores here in the U.S. , and at The Bay Stores in Canada. In fact it's becoming a global movement. I think I have found my perfume for life! And Now you can have your own bottle of Ageless Perfume because they've sent me one to give away to one of my readers. How fabulous is that!?

Jack Clamp Woodworking Bar Clamp Giveaway

I was totally surprised and excited to do this review and giveaway for one of these fabulous Jack Clamps! Hubby has several bar clamps and C clamps in his work shop after building furniture and refinishing furniture for many years, but he had nothing like the Jack Clamp. Until now that is.
When the box came he was very anxious to give it a try and immediately put it through all it's various configurations to adjust it from a standard bar clamp to a spreader, and then to a hoist to aid in lifting. We were both happy with how easy it was to switch from one use to another. I was amazed that it has a built in level so that you can tell if your work is level. No other clamp that I have seen has this feature, so that was a plus right off the bat.
You can glue and clamp lumber stock up to thirteen inches with one clamp and if you need a longer reach you can use two together which is so easy to do.
The Jack Clamp is like having 4 tools in one! You have the standard clamp, you have a spreader, you have a hoist for lifting, and you have a level! It really is the Alpha Clamp of all woodworking clamps and comes with a 3 toed foot base that glides on for use when hoisting materials securely.
Though we aren't quite ready to put up the kitchen cabinets in The Stone House yet this will be a big help when we do and I can't wait for that day to come. I'm thinking it would be great to have 3 or 4 of these on hand for that day. The Jack Clamp is made in Bozeman, Montana and they have weekly giveaways for a free Jack Clamp which I am going to be entering to try to win another one for hubby. You can buy your own Jack Clamp here for $49.99 or win one.
Now you have the chance to own your very own Jack Clamp! I was sent one to give away to one of my readers so be sure to enter to win one for your hubby or to throw in the RV for stabilizing emergencies. That's two chances to win: here and at the Jack Clamp site. How fabulous is that!
To enter just visit Jack Clamp and come back and tell me how you would use one if you won it.
You may do any of the following for extra entries:
* Follow Babasfarmlife via google.
* Subscribe to Babasfarmlife via email or feed.
* Blog about this giveaway and link back to Babasfarmlife and Jack Clamp. Leave me the link to your posting in comments.

* Follow on Twitter and Tweet about this giveaway. You may do this once a day.

Coffee Mate Brew Crew Party at The Fire Station
On Thursday I held a little Coffee Mate party at the local Fire Station to give the guys a taste treat for some of the fabulous flavors that Coffee Mate has come up with for Coffee Creamer. No one deserves a coffee break more that these volunteer Firemen who serve our community. These are just regular guys and most all of them have other jobs; sheriff, WalMart, ranchers, farmers, you name it. They give so much of their time to our community and I was thrilled to give them a little bit back thanks to Coffee Mate who sent me a welcome kit to share some of these fabulous flavors of Coffee Mate with these guys.
It was a casual affair at the Fire Station where the guys usually meet each week. And these men were perfect gentlemen while a lady was present. They allowed me some of their time and answered some questions about Coffee Mate and their favorite flavors. The Vanilla Chai Spice was a big hit, and the Cinnamon Vanilla Cream was the biggest hit of all.
I wanted to give them a taste of the new international flavors, but they weren’t available at my local WalMart, which was really a shame because I was looking forward to trying them myself. The Parisian Almond Crème Liquid, The Belgian Chocolate Toffee Liquid both would have been fantastic I'm betting. I know that the guys were happy and a few of them a going to go out and get some Coffee Mate for their coffee right away. I think it was a success. Thank you Coffee Mate!
They are in the process of building a new Fire Station right next door to house some of the trucks that don't have housing at the moment. The guys are pretty excited about that. They've needed it for so long now and it's finally happening.
