Thanks to Sara at Real Life and Michelle at In The Life of A Child, I have been doing a little site tweeting today. I managed to follow their easy instructions and add buttons to my blog page. You can see them above.
I am not an expert at editing html, in fact it scares the beejeezers out of me. I am so afraid I will do something wrong and lose my whole blog completely. But I managed to follow their instructions and I'm still here. LOL!
These particular instructions are only for Blogger/Blogspot blog sites. But I'm sure there are others out there for what ever blog site you are using. Just wanted to let you know about this one and to say Thank You to Sara and Michelle!
I'm not sure how useful they will be yet. We'll see. Tell me what you think?

Inkheart The Books and Movie
Have you ever read a book that took you somewhere else, to a magical place, a realm where things are so interesting so different that you just couldn't put it down. My grand-daughter and I have been sharing books, books we both love. And one such book was Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. And the sequel Inkspell and now Chapter 3 is available Inkdeath that my grand-daughter is reading right now and I will get my chance when she is finished.
The story revolves around Meggie; daughter to a simple book-binder Mo or maybe not so simple. You see Mo has the ability to read characters to life out of books. He discovered this ability when Meggie was just a baby and he accidently read a character to life and in the process his wife (Meggie's mother) vanishes. You see when one is read into this world another takes it's place in what ever world the book entails.
A story of Adventure, Magic, Suspense, Thrills, and exciting creatures and characters to spark anyones interest.
The story is truely spell binding. You won't want to put it down for a minute! This is a great book series for teens through adults. I throughly enjoyed every minute of reading. And now I can't wait for the Movie Inkheart which comes out January 23, 2009. I recommend this for the entire family.
Nintendo is releasing the Inkheart game on January 13, 2009 and you can purchase it at Amazon.
Watch the video trailer here:
My grand-daughter got movie tickets for Christmas and has asked me to go with her to watch Inkheart! I was thrilled that she would share such a special gift with me! I'm buying the movie popcorn and drinks! I'll let you know about our evening movie date on January 24th.

Dewalt Track Saw Combo Kit

Now here is an item I could really use! I would love to review this! Imagine how much faster the Stone House project could get done if I had one of these!
If you are like most women, you probably aren't familiar with the name Dewalt. But as the wife of a woodworker and tool man, I am very familiar with the Dewalt product line of tools. And Dewalt is the creme of the crop when it comes to power tools. Any man would love them. I know hubby is a big fan.
According to One Project closer The Dewalt Tracksaw is essentially a table saw replacement. It provides the same precision as a table saw, but at less than 20 lbs. is extremely portable. This tool is a must have for woodworkers and furniture/cabinet builders.
The Dewalt Track Saw is available at a variety of stores, and online. Amazon’s partner CPO DeWALT ships this item for only $9.95, and Amazon doesn’t charge sales tax in most places.
This month at One Project Closer you can win one. I know I want to have one for the Stone House project.

Though I am fairly new to the blogosphere I would like to begin 2009 with a new perspective here at Babas Farm Life. I am putting out a call to any Home Improvement/Remodel Sponsors for my blog and The Stone House project. If you have a product you would like me to review or offer my readers, just send me an email: djsloan1953@yahoo.com.
My first Sponsor is Gorilla Glue which I will be reviewing when we begin the cabinet installation at The Stone House. They have sent me a full sample package of all their products to try. Thank you Gorilla Glue.

Chocolate Giveaway

While Hubby and I stopped for dinner last night I went next door to the gift shop just to look around. I found a chocolate bar that I had never tried before so I bought one to share with Hubby. It's called Wild Huckleberry Chocolate Bar made by the Huckleberry People; a Montana based company.
Well it was so yummy I had to get one for my readers to try too. The Huckleberry is right in the center of the square of each piece in the Chocolate bar. It's like eating a huckleberry cordial in each little square. And this is a large Chocolate bar. I think there are 10 squares to each bar.
It brought back memories of when I was young and went huckleberry picking with the family. We would go to the mountains for a couple of days and pick huckleberries to take home to make pies and jam. It was a favorite pastime for us when I was little. This chocolate is rich so you will want to eat it a little at a time or share it with others.
I also found another new chocolate candy that I had never tried before. Colorado Chocolate River Rocks made by Huckleberry Haven. The same Montana based company as Huckleberry People. It really looks like a jar of small colorful rocks, but with chocolate goodness in each bite.
If you love chocolate like I do, I have one of the Wild Huckleberry Chocolate bars and one Jar of Colorado River Rocks to give away. So two of my readers will win one. Just comment and tell me which one you would like to win.
Extra entries if you subscribe to this blog, follow me on Twitter or Google, Stumble this post, Favor me on Technorati, Kirtsy, or post this giveaway and link back to me. Just leave a comment for each thing you do. Be sure to leave your email address so that I can notify you if you win. The winner will be chosen on January 9, 2008, so you only have a short time to enter. Good luck chocolate lovers.
